The study concerns the redevelopment and enhancement of the open-air shopping center of Kalambaka, in the municipality of Meteora. The intervention area presents degradation in terms of accessibility, as some of the sidewalks do not have ramps for people with disabilities, while in some other areas there are no guide rails for the blind. In addition, in several points of the intervention area, there are no defined outdoor parking spaces, resulting in chaotic parking. The area is characterized by relatively dense construction with few open spaces to serve the residents. Some of the open spaces require immediate redevelopment and formation (Platia Platano, municipal parking area). Due to the increased visitor traffic in the city due to Meteora, there is a need to upgrade the area by expanding the infrastructure of open spaces to serve the residents and visitors.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
